We pride ourselves on wherever possible using free range and organic meat, eggs and vegetables directly from local farmers. Here is our Main Menu, which features several great new dishes, plus all your old favourites. Please note that the contents may be subject to change. Starters

Bread & Olives (ve) £5.95

A bowl of marinated olives with warm crusty bread, hummus, olive oil & balsamic vinegar.

Garlic & Rosemary Camembert (v) £6.95

Served with onion chutney, cranberry compote, butter and toasted ciabatta.

Crayfish Cocktail £7.95

Fresh crayfish tails topped with a Marie Rose sauce on a bed of salad, served with a tempura prawn and crusty bread.

Smooth Chicken Liver Pâté £6.95

Home-made chicken liver pâté, served with a salad garnish, toasted bread and a caramelized red onion chutney.

Arancini Polenta Balls (ve) £6.95

Bread-crumbed rice balls stuffed with vegan mozzarella, and topped with a delicious tomato and basil sauce.

Butternut Squash Risotto (v) £6.95

A butternut squash and pine nut risotto, served with gorgonzola and a balsamic glaze.

Crackled Free Range Pork Belly £14.95

A succulent portion of slow roasted pork belly sat on creamed bacon & leeks, served with Dauphinoise potatoes, apple purée and topped with crunchy crackling.

Vegetable Wellington (ve) £13.95

A vegetable wellington filled with spinach, red onion, mushroom, mixed peppers and tomatoes, topped with vegan mozzarella and served with a tomato & garlic sauce, and garlic & thyme sauté potatoes..

Seafood Platter £15.95

A large oak board with breaded garlic king prawns, deep fried salt & pepper squid, tempura prawns, smoked salmon, a mini crayfish cocktail & a pot of mackerel pate. Served with salad garnish, bread and two dips (sweet chilli & tartare).

Rolled Chicken Breast £14.95

Free range chicken breast stuffed with spinach, mushroom & garlic wrapped in Parma ham, served with dauphinoise potatoes, spinach and served with a mushroom stroganoff sauce.

Potato Gnocchi (ve) £13.95

Potato gnocchi served with spinach and asparagus, accompanied by a roasted red pepper sauce.

Cod & Chips £13.95

Hand battered local cod, deep fried to perfection and served with chunky pub-style chips, crushed peas and tartare.

Baguettes and Jacket Potatoes £7.95

Served Wednesday to Saturday until 6pm. Choose either a fresh baguette or a piping hot jacket potato filled with one of:

  • Sausage and Caramelised onion
  • Steak and Caramelised onion
  • Honey glazed ham and piccalilli
  • Smokey BBQ pulled pork and melted cheddar
  • Garlic sautéed tomatoes, mushrooms, mozzarella & pesto (v)
  • Crayfish tails in a Marie Rose sauce

Ploughman’s Lunches £11.95

Served Wednesday to Saturday until 6pm. Choose one of the following:

  • Stilton, Brie, Cheddar, or Soft Goats Cheese (v)
  • Pork Pie
  • Honey glazed ham

Served with grapes, gherkin, pickled onion, onion chutney, coleslaw, baguette and a side salad.
